  President George H.W. Bush and Mrs. Barbara Bush to be honored at 100th Annivesary Gala
WHAT: Family Services of Greater Houston will celebrate a century of service to the Houston community on February 20, 2004 at the 100th Anniversary Gala: Changing Times, Changing Families. The black-tie event will honor President George H.W. Bush and Mrs. Barbara Bush for their support and dedication to Houston's children and families. Gala sponsorship is over $480,000 to date, with Holthouse Foundation for Kids as the presenting sponsor with a $50,000 donation.

WHY:

family Services and Houston have grown up together. People followed oil to the young city and social needs followed the people. From an influenza epidemic in 1918 to devastating flooding in 2001, Family Services has been here for all Houstonians.

The gala will celebrate Family Services' 100 years of services and will support the organization's programs and services, which strengthen, educate and support Houston-area families. Sponsorship levels are $25,000, $20,000, $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000. Tickets are available for $1,000 and $500.

WHAT ELSE:
Since 1904, Family Services has continued to adapt to changing times to meet the needs of Houston's families. Over the past century, Family Services has provided counseling, education and support services to give children and families the tools and skills needed to improve their lives and the Houston community.
