Alliance for Children and Families  

Alliance for Children and Families, an international nonprofit association founded in 1911, is dedicated to strengthening family life through services, education and advocacy. Family Services of Greater Houston is a member of Alliance for Children and Families.

Formed in 1951, The Joint Commission, formerly known as the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), is dedicated to improving the quality of the nation’s health care through voluntary accreditation. Family Services of Greater Houston is accredited with commendation by The Joint Commission.

Mental Health Corporations of America (MHCA) is a not-for-profit association of selected mental health organizations in the country. Organizations are selected based on the quality and continuum of mental health and related supportive services. Family Services of Greater Houston has received the Award of Excellence for best practices from MHCA for the past four years.

The United Way of Greater Houston, most recently known as the United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast is dedicated to increasing the organized capacity of people to care for themselves and others. The United Way funds over 250 programs offered by 82 agencies at over 300 locations. Family Services of Greater Houston is the fourth largest United Way agency in the Texas Gulf Coast area since its inception with the United Way.
