Family Services of Greater Houston’s mission is to strengthen individuals, families and communities through the provision of preventive, supportive and therapeutic services.

Volunteer opportunities are available for individuals and groups, one-time events and ongoing activities. Volunteers assist with special events, provide direct services and help raise funds for the organization.

Individual Volunteer Opportunities
Individuals interested in volunteering with Family Services of Greater Houston must submit a volunteer application form, complete the required screening process, and attend a volunteer orientation session. Current Opportunity: Translation Volunteer
Bilingual? Want to practice your Spanish skills? Volunteers are needed to translate marketing and communications materials from English to Spanish to ensure optimal communication with all of Family Services' constituents. Documents for translation include fliers publicizing special events, client surveys and forms. Time commitment varies and much of the work can be done on the volunteer's own time. Minimum age: 18 years

Volunteer Opportunities for Groups
Family Services occasionally needs groups of volunteers to help with special projects and events.
